The first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Mandate Palestine, Rav Kook was a mystic and philosopher who saw the holiness in the return of the Jewish people to their land. He sought to bridge the gaps between the sacred and the secular through love. He remains the spiritual father of Religious Zionism.
